The color shown (ivory/ off white/ beige) in this picture is not the actual color. The actual color is more like a brown paper bag from the supermarket and is not very attractive. The footrest mechanism is terribly difficult to kick back. Even if you are standing in front of the reclined chair attempting to return it to the upright position, it is very very difficult. I would think that, over time, the force required to kick the footrest back would result in damage to the material and appearance. I returned it and it remains to be seen if I will receive (all) of my money back.

I was very excited to receive this recliner for use in our Family Room. It is attractive and was relatively easy to "put togeter". Unfortunately, it does easily go from the "recline" position to the position in the view. It is comfy, but was cannot close it. Too bulky to ship back- We need to try to get this corrected and will work on this. I would not recommend this item for this reason. Very disappointed since it is attractive looking and takes up less space than similar chairs.
