We bought this for our son, and he really likes the chair. The width is what attracted him to want this item. He did say the back is a bit shorter than he expected, but otherwise it is perfect.

Have had this chair for about 8 months now.....originally bought it for my husband, but this chair is really really wide. Husband doesn't use it due to his limited mobility.....kids love it though....big enough for two 8 year olds to sleep in it. Chair/back seems kind of loose....not as sturdy as I thought it would be....then shortly after I bought it for $504....a local dept store had the same chair for $369.
